Laser hair growth therapy, also known as low level laser therapy (LLLT) has been used for more than 15 years in Europe as a standard regimen for treating symptoms of hair loss and hair thinning by rejuvenating the growth of healthy hair. Low level laser hair treatment has been approved in the U.S. by the F.D.A. as a completely safe cosmetic procedure.

There are several different reasons as to why this treatment works:

1) Laser hair growth therapy flushes out the chemicals that cause hair loss and ultimately make you go bald. The chemical in the bloodstream that makes you have hair loss is called dihydrostestrogen (or DHT). This builds up in the hair follicles and causes hair thinning and hair loss.

2) Low level hair lasers actually stimulate the hair to grow faster. Numerous experiments have shown that a certain exact wavelength of low level laser light- 650 nm (nanometers) is most effective at stimulating hair to regrow. This is the exact laser we use in the Hair Growth Laser 50.
